Back in Canada

Hi, and in case you were wondering, I didn't fall off the earth.
However, I did go to the other side of the earth.
News flash, I now live in Dresden, Germany.
I came here as an Au Pair, and I'll be here for a year.
Before I arrived at my new home, I travelled for three and a bit weeks with some friends.
But before I get to that, I must post about my last few weeks in Canada with my oh so loved ones.

On June first it was my mom's birthday,
so I got to spend the night with my mom and her friends...
I was the DD of course.

Auntie Michelle and I for Mom's Birthday!

My cousin Sarah and I always drove around, going to Starbucks, Wal- Mart, whatever really.
My time in Canada was dwindling so Sarah and I did what we always did, got Starbucks and did what we felt.
We ended up at Knox Mountain Park, fun as always <3

Upon my request, my mom, Auntie Michelle and cousin Rachel made a day trip to the Northern Okanagan.
We went to Vernon, Enderby, and had a lovely day!

Enderby, at the log barn!
The sign says
"Place apple in open palm,
Feed animals at your own risk!"
Riley was his name, and no harm done when we gave him apples!

Mom<3

Rachel and I loved the goats, but they loved us more...
well they loved the food.

Vernon, at the honey farm.
This was when I was Vegan so my mom and Aunt made me listen to the honey farmer explain to me that Honey Bee's there we treated properly.

Packing my room was difficult to say the least.
Not only did my room normally look as though a bomb went off,
but I needed to pack EVERYTHING since mom is now renting my room for an international student.

One good thing about packing is going through all your old, fabulous stuff.

This was the morning I left, just a few things remained for mom to pack away in her room.

I have been blonde my entire life,
but two weeks before I left home, I decided to dye my hair brunette!
It was time for a change apparently.

I enjoyed my selt-timer alter ego.

Blonde hair with side bangs to brunette with straight across bangs, it was a good change!

A week before I left Canada, my girlfriends and I went to Earl's downtown for dinner.
Afterward we came out to the lake and took these photos!
  Em and Mimi :)

Jenny and Katja!
Afterwards, we went to Jenny's house and planned on playing board games and gonig in the hottub...
our typical girls night :)

Little did I know that the girls planned a surprise going away party!
It was fabulous and it was a night spent talking, laughing and of course, eating!

This was my adorable going away cake.
However, it was icecream cake, and at the time I was vegan,
so Jenny had made me my very own vegan cake instead!
Loved it, Jenny, thanks again for all the deliciousness :)

On my last weekend in Kelowna,
my cousin Karen and I went for a hike.

We thought this was Poison Ivy and freaked out since we were walking through it.
While we were flipping out, Karen texted her mom,
but that didn't help since she said don't touch anything,
go home and shower.
I, however, said if we already walked through it, the harm is done so we might as well keep going.

And kept going we did!
We soon found a "gun" to fight off potential bears since we were also scared about that.

We were than quite enthralled with the tree stump shaped like a heart!

Kelowna :)

So that is about it for my last little while in Kelowna.
I worked until a week before I left and work also had a going away dinner for me and two other girls who were leaving the store.
For those of you who don't know, I worked at Starbucks, yummm.

Now, after 4 months without any posts, soon, I will FINALLY be posting about my time in Europe.
Ciao for now!
