I had a flight booked out of Vancouver on the evening of June 27th.
I couldn't believe that Europe was finally happening!
Since I was leaving for over a year, my family decided to make a little event out of it.
On the morning of the 26th, we packed the car and I said "good-bye for now" to the house.
Not all of it is mine... most though.
So excited, just about to pull out!
We picked up my cousins and two aunts, road trip!
This is me and Auntie Michelle :)
The moms were going in my mom's car and my cousins and I went in Rachel's car.
Rachel's sexy car.
Rachel's sexy broken mirror on her sexy car.
Blurry love
We drove through the provincial park instead of the busy, boring highway.
It took longer, but it was what I wanted, a good last view!
Ps, it was freezing!
We went to the "Manning park Visitor Centre"
We got these awesome antler hats and also a bear warning..
not need to worry though, it was raining so hard we were outside for all of thirty seconds.
Canadian moose in the hotel lobby!
We went to Milestone's for dinner and it was so gorgeous,
our view of the bay and the restaurant itself.
Auntie Lori :)
We clearly enjoyed ourselves.
After dinner, we went for a very long walk!
Auntie Michelle, Auntie Lori and Mom!
Me and Mom :)
Mmmm
This was the next morning, we went for a walk in Stanley Park
We three!
We, as in I, got carried away with pictures,
so the rest of the group got ahead!
A jogger saw us attempting to take pictures of ourselves,
so she offered to take one, so nice.
Got to love Vancouver!
By this time, we had walked through the park and on the boardwalk,
so we made our way back to the hotel,
where Karen, Rachel and Sarah packed up Rachel's car and headed home.
(After shopping at Metro Town of course)
We decided it was best there wasn't a huge group saying bye at the airport,
so we made our "See you later's" in the hotel parking lot.
After about 20 minutes or so with my Mom and Aunts in the hotel room,
we made our way downstairs where we waited for our taxi
and went to the airport!
We went to a restaurant in the airport since we were there too early for me to check-in.
(We were there so early since I was a little anxious).
My brother and cousin Jacob came which was very nice!
They had driven to Vancouver late the night before.
Basically, check-in took a very long time,
but it was worth it since my brother bought me one last going away gift...
an upgraded ticket to first class!
Check-in took so long but the good-bye's were super fast.
Hugs all around, and a sad mother, I waved good-bye and didn't look back.
Security took all of 5 minutes,
and my one hour wait to board the plane went by super fast.
My one hour wait on the plane went by super fast too!
This was my plane, about five minutes before boarding!
The view from my seat!
While waiting to take off, Henry, the flight attendant,
brought around champagne.
I told him that I was 18 and he said "No problem",
and handed me this glass.
Sweet deal, the flight was off to a good start,
and I thought that it was a good sign for Europe too.
